Rant: my sister told me to stop renting a storage unit and "just build shelves," and I'm still annoyed
My sister came by two Saturdays ago and saw my garage, then said I should quit my $85 a month storage unit because "you could just build shelves and fit it all in here." The thing is, she's not wrong about the shelves, but she skipped the part where my garage is 14 feet deep and I can barely walk through it now. Shelves in a space that's already packed just means stacking clutter higher, and I've tried that twice. So tell me, has anyone actually cleared out a unit this way, or is building more shelves just moving the mess up the wall?
