Unpopular opinion: that one Tuesday in March when every rec I got from this sub actually worked
Everybody here knows the drill, you read 40 comments, pick one rec, and it flops. Then 3 weeks ago on a Tuesday I sat down with a coffee and a notepad and went through a thread about stuff people actually use every single day for 5 or more years. I wrote down 6 things from that one thread and tried all of them within 8 days. Five of the six are still in my daily routine right now, which for me is nuts because usually I bail after 2 days. The weird part is it was not the popular answers that worked, it was the low key comment buried at number 14 that only had 3 upvotes. That whole week felt like the sub was actually doing what it is supposed to do instead of just people yelling about their favorite thing. Since then I have tried 9 more recs from other threads and maybe 1 stuck, so I want to know if anyone else has had a random window like that or if I just got lucky one Tuesday. What was the rec that actually stuck for you, and did it come from the top comment or the bottom?
