A customer in my shop last week called me a 'digital detective'

She brought in a laptop that wouldn't boot, and after I found a corrupted Windows update file, she said I solved the mystery faster than her favorite TV show. It was just a Tuesday for me, but her comment made the routine feel special. Anyone else have a client give them a nickname that stuck with you?

Got called the "phone whisperer" last month. Lady came in with a bricked iPhone, said three other shops told her it was toast. I found a short in the charging port flex cable, a ten dollar part. She almost cried when it powered on. Now her whole family brings me their broken devices. Funny how one offhand name can make you see your job differently.

Love that feeling, lol. Fixed a "dead" laptop last week that just needed a bios reset. Customer acted like I performed magic.
