Appreciation post: I finally switched from a magnetic screw tray to a silicone mat after losing a tiny M.2 screw for the third time.

I used to think the metal tray was fine, but after that last screw vanished into the carpet, I grabbed a cheap mat from Harbor Freight and it's a total game changer for keeping parts in one spot. Anyone have a better method for organizing tiny screws during a full teardown?

That third M.2 screw is probably living its best life in the void under your baseboards now. Harbor Freight mat is a solid move, I just use a big white dinner plate for the same reason.

Max808, my last tiny screw went into the carpet monster, never to be seen again.
