Customer in Dallas fought me on a $40 data recovery fee

Guy brings in a dead laptop, wants the photos off it. I quote him $40 for the basic pull. He says his nephew could do it free. I hand him a screwdriver and say go for it. He strips the SATA connector trying to yank it out. Came back next day, paid $120 for the full recovery. Has anyone else had customers learn the hard way about cheap fixes?
