Found a 10 minute fix for ghost printers that took me 3 hours yesterday

Had a client in Gastonia with that classic issue where printer jobs keep disappearing into the void. Tried reinstalling drivers, checked the spooler, all that usual stuff. Finally noticed the print server on their network still had the old device listed as offline and it was intercepting everything. Deleted that stale entry and cleared the queue in CMD with net stop spooler, deleted the files in C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS, then started it back up. Has anyone else run into phantom server listings that just sit there for months causing this?

Yep, had that exact ghost server thing bite me at a shop in Lincolnton, drove me nuts for two days until I found the same stale listing.
