I broke 500 service calls last month and it was a wake up call
I do computer repair from my van in Austin and last month I hit 512 completed jobs. That's way more than I thought I was doing, and it made me realize I'm burning out hard without noticing. I had to drop my cap to 15 calls a week just to keep my sanity and actually give each job the proper time. Has anyone else hit a number that made them rethink their whole workflow?

I used to think people were being dramatic when they talked about burnout numbers, but 512 in a month is brutal. I hit a similar wall doing design work - I was cranking out 40+ logo revisions a week and my work started looking like garbage. My cap now is 3 projects a week max, and I actually have time to think about what I'm making instead of just pushing pixels around. That wake up call is real.

Wait, 512 in a month? Like logo revisions or total projects? That's insane, I can't even wrap my head around that number without feeling tired. I mean, at that volume you're basically running on autopilot and your brain just checks out. It's no wonder your work started to suffer, there's no way you can keep quality up when you're pushing that many out the door.
