I told customers to just buy new printers for 3 years, then a $38 fix on a Brother changed my tune
I used to tell folks with a dead inkjet that a new one was cheaper than my bench fee, and I sent plenty of them to the big box store over in Mesa. A regular customer brought in a Brother laser with a grinding noise, I quoted him $38 for a fuser gear instead of the usual speech, and that thing has been running at his office for 14 months now. How do you all decide when a repair is worth it versus telling someone to replace the unit?
