Wasted 3 hours on a printer at a client site because I skipped the dumbest step
I used to walk into every printer call and go straight to drivers or spooler issues, and last Tuesday at an office in Mesa I burned 3 hours on a Brother before I even checked if the paper tray was pushed in all the way. The client kept saying it worked yesterday, so I skipped the physical stuff and went straight to software, which was my mistake. Now I touch the hardware first, always, no matter what the ticket says. Anyone else have a job that taught them to stop trusting what the user says they already checked?
