Had a perfect pour day last Thursday in Austin

We were finishing a 30x40 driveway slab and the temperature stayed at 72 degrees the whole morning. The concrete set exactly right, no cracking, and the trowel finish came out glass smooth. Anybody else get those days where everything just lines up perfect?

Last spring we poured a 24x36 garage pad on a Thursday and it hit 70 degrees exactly with a light breeze. The mud felt like butter, no cold joints, and we were done by 2 PM. Those perfect days are like hitting the lottery, you just stand back and smile when it all comes together without a fight.

My last perfect pour was a 12x20 patio where the humidity was exactly 45% and the breeze was steady out of the south, so no leaves blew into the finish. It's those little weather variables nobody bothers to check that separate a good day from a great one.
