I finally got that tricky corner pour right last Friday
Been fighting with this one corner on a garage slab for weeks, kept getting air pockets near the rebar. An old finisher I know stopped by to grab his trowel and watched me work for a minute. He just said 'you're pulling the mud instead of pushing it, try going the other way.' I tried it and the whole thing laid down smooth as glass. Anyone else had a tiny adjustment like that totally fix a problem you'd been fighting?

Pushing instead of pulling" - wish someone told me that before I spent a week fighting my shower caulk.

Wait, is pulling actually better for caulk though? I've always pushed it on and just smoothed it after with a wet finger. @rosek73, maybe it depends on the brand or how stiff the tube is? I feel like I get better control pushing because I can see where the bead is going instead of guessing behind the tip. Could be wrong though, idk.
