Saw guys on a job site in Denver using a mag float on a broom finish
They were running a mag float over a broom finish they already did, thinking it would smooth out the lines... just made it look all muddy and uneven. I asked the foreman why and he said "that's how we always do it"... has anyone else seen crews wreck a finish like that?

Wet mag on broom finish always leaves drag marks, have them burn it in next time.

Watching a mag float ruin a broom finish is a special kind of pain. Reminds me of the time I tried to "fix" a patch by going over it again and just made a huge shiny slick spot. Some habits are hard to break, even when you know better. That foreman's line is the classic defense for every bad practice out there.
