Saw the worst slab finish in a Home Depot parking lot
Went to grab supplies in Phoenix last week. Some crew poured a sidewalk near the garden center. Broom finish looked like a cat walked across it. How do you mess up a straight line that bad?

Did you try a wet broom on the next pass?

In my experience, a wet broom on a second pass can actually cause more issues than it solves. I tried it once on a textured tile floor and the excess water just pushed dirt into the grout lines instead of picking it up. Plus, if you don't wring it out perfectly, you're basically mopping with a dirty broom head and spreading that residue around. Your mileage may vary of course, but for me it left a worse finish than a dry sweep alone.

Man I totally get that! My buddy tried the wet broom trick on his kitchen linoleum and it turned into a disaster. He didn't wring it out enough so the water pooled up in the low spots and left these weird sticky streaks everywhere. Took him like 20 minutes with a dry rag to fix it all. Never saw him grab a wet broom again after that mess.
