That afternoon on a driveway pour near Tulsa taught me to always check the mix

I was finishing a 40 yard residential driveway outside Tulsa last summer and the truck showed up with mix that was way too wet. The finisher I was working with told me to add dry shake on top instead of rejecting the load. Took us an extra 2 hours to get a decent finish and the color came out patchy. Has anyone else had a dispatcher push back when you ask for a different load?

Honestly that's just how it goes with a lot of stuff in life. People always want you to just "make it work" instead of fixing the real problem upfront.

Yeah, "way too wet" is basically my love life but with concrete instead of tears.

Used to think wet concrete was dramatic but now I get it completely.
