The slip form vs. the screed rail on a 4,000 square foot warehouse floor last Tuesday

I used a slip form payer for the first time after years of running screed rails by hand. This thing laid the entire floor in 5 hours with a finish so flat a golf ball wouldn't roll more than 2 feet. Is the slip form actually worth the rental cost for jobs this size, or did I just get lucky with the concrete mix that day?

5 hours for 4,000 square feet is insane. I bet your screed crew was loving the day off.

Honestly, that flat a floor in five hours is a total game changer for that size of job.
