I started reading forums, and the arguments are intense. Some say it's a scam, others call it nonsense. It's made me check labels every time I shop.

Actually, that whole debate feels a bit overblown sometimes. Local beekeepers at the farmers market are usually a safe bet if you're worried. Saves a lot of label checking to just skip the big brands.
