I got into it with a coworker at the gym in Tucson last week about the Apollo footage, and he kept saying the shadows prove they used studio lights, which is wrong. Turns out parallel shadows in the photos are exactly what you'd get from a single light source like the sun, not multiple stage lights. The dead giveaway is the flag and the footprints hold their shape because there's no wind or moisture up there to mess them up. I pulled up the NASA photo archive on my phone and showed him the same shadow direction across two different rocks 20 feet apart. Has anyone else run into this one, and what's your go to way to explain it without sounding like a jerk?
