I was arguing about flat earth for 3 months using a globe I found at a yard sale.
My buddy came over last week, pointed at it, and said 'you know that's a globe of Mars, right?' I mean, I got it for 5 bucks in Greensboro. So I'd been showing people Mars to prove Earth is round. What's the dumbest thing you've used as evidence in a debate?

Guess @kelly_chen was right about those yard sales, but at least Mars is round too.

Man, that's rough. Yard sales around here can be a total gamble, I've had my share of buying stuff that looked fine until I got it home. Hope you didn't get stuck with anything too bad, or at least that the Mars joke softened the blow a little. People get weirdly competitive over used junk sometimes, it's honestly exhausting. Solidarity on surviving that chaos.
