I was at the Denver airport and the weird murals got me thinking about how some places just feed the rumor mill.

The strange, apocalyptic artwork in the main terminal, installed during construction in the 90s, feels like it was designed to spark endless online debates about secret societies and bunkers.

I read an article last week that said the city spent over $20,000 on that public sculpture. The artist is some guy from out of state with a bunch of gallery shows. It just looks like a pile of bent pipes to me. I guess the whole point is to make people talk about it, so mission accomplished. Still feels like a waste of tax money when the park benches are broken.
