Overheard a debate about moon landing footage at the coffee shop yesterday

Two guys at the next table were arguing over the shadows in the Apollo photos. One said they proved it was a studio set, the other said it was just the sun's angle. I looked it up later and found a 1979 NASA report that explains the lighting in detail. It's interesting how the same picture can fuel a debate for 50 years. Has anyone else found a good breakdown of the shadow argument that doesn't get too technical?

My own shadow looks weird in my kitchen, so I'm not the best judge.

50 years of debate over shadows" just seems wild to me. Like, we've got the actual moon rocks and laser reflectors they left up there. The lighting feels like such a weird hill to die on.
