People keep mixing up the 9/11 commission report with the official story
The report actually lists dozens of unanswered questions and failures, but folks act like it's a simple cover-up document. I read the whole 567 page PDF last year and the gaps are right there in chapter 11. Anyone else actually looked at the primary source instead of just the summaries?

I used to just repeat what I heard about the report being a simple cover up. Then I actually read chapter 11 about the FAA and NORAD failures. It's way more messy and full of holes than I was told.

Honestly @juliam40 this is such a good point and it reminds me of how people treat pretty much any big story these days. Everyone just latches onto one version of events and repeats it until it feels like fact. I see it at work when people gossip about a coworker or even with my buddy who swears the local diner is a front for something shady based on one dude's Facebook rant. It's like we'd rather have a simple story than a messy truth that takes effort to dig through.
