Rant: a guy at a gun show in Reno said to check the ammo cans before the rifles, and it stuck with me
I was at the show on Saturday and overheard this older guy telling a kid to dig through the dented ammo cans in the back corner first, because nobody bothers to look in them. He said he pulled 3 cans of .30-06 for $40 last year just because the lids were rusty. So I tried it and found a can of .308 mixed with a bunch of junk, but about 60 rounds were still good. Now I'm wondering how many good deals are sitting in the ugly bins at every show. Has anyone else scored anything decent out of the scrap cans like that?
