I was buying a faucet washer and he just dropped that line like it was normal, then started talking about the 1962 water report. I looked it up later and the actual reason is tooth decay, but it made me realize how fast a weird claim spreads in a small store. Has anyone else run into a random person pushing a water theory while you were just trying to buy a part?
