BIM model clashed with the steel beams, but the laser scanner caught it before we poured

On a tilt-up warehouse in Phoenix last month, our 3D model had the roof drains five inches off from reality, and after scanning the actual framing with a Leica BLK360, we found the clash with the steel beams and reworked the penetrations in half a day, has anyone else run into this kind of gap between revit and field conditions?
