Just hit 15,000 linear feet of conduit pulled this year and my arms hate me

I keep a spreadsheet (nerdy, I know) and last Friday I crossed 15k feet on a downtown office build. That's almost 3 miles of EMT, not counting the flex runs in the mechanical rooms. The thing that surprised me wasn't the number itself, it was how much time we lost to bad planning - like 12% of that was re-pulling because someone marked the wrong wall. Has anyone else tracked their actual pull footage against what the estimate claimed?

Man, "3 miles of EMT" really hit me when I read that. I used to think those spreadsheets were overkill, like just trust the guys in the field and move on. But seeing that 12% waste number changed my whole view. It made me realize how much time we throw away on bad marks and guesses, stuff we could fix with a little more planning. Now I actually keep my own rough count on jobs, and it's crazy how often the numbers don't match what the office said.

Wait, isn't 12% waste actually pretty standard for EMT and not really anything new?
