Warning: I thought laser levels on job sites were a gimmick until the deck pour at Miller Park got rained out
Two summers back I helped frame a garage out near Miller Park and the crew boss handed me a $180 laser level instead of the old bubble one. I figured it was a toy until we had to reset the ledger boards after a rain delay and that little thing saved us a solid 3 hours of re-measuring. The line stayed true across 28 feet, which is more than I can say for my eyes at 6am. Anyone here actually trust the cheap ones for framing, or do you all stick to the brand name stuff?
