Warning: watched a coworker fight with a busted laser level for 45 minutes

Had a guy on my crew in Nashville spend almost an hour trying to get his laser to hold level on a slab pour. Turns out the self-leveling mechanism was gummed up from drywall dust and he never bothered to clean it. I swapped in my old Bosch GLL3-80 and he was done in 3 minutes flat. Anyone else just assume these things work until they don't?

Honestly, "busted laser level" is putting it nicely. That thing had to be more like a lazy laser level that just gave up and decided to let the guy fight with it for 45 minutes. Reminds me of my uncle who'd blame his tools before admitting he never checked for dust. Ngl, watching that struggle must have been a real workout for your patience.
