Was dead set against layout lasers on small jobs, then a $260 one paid for itself in two weeks
I always figured a laser was for big commercial crews, not a two man remodel outfit like ours. Then last spring we took a bathroom job in an old house in Lansing where nothing was square, and I was burning hours snapping lines and rechecking. A buddy lent me his $260 rotary laser and I had the whole floor framed out before lunch. I was wrong about the cost being too high for small jobs, because this one tool saved us close to two full days on that house alone. Now I want to know what other gear you all held off on for years and then wished you had bought sooner.
