Appreciation post: that "under construction" page I almost skipped had 40 old web rings
Found a little site for a defunct model train club in Ohio, and the link page turned out to lead to about 40 dead web rings that still load. Has anyone else run into a hub like that, or know of a better way to find them than clicking through old guestbooks?

Man, I feel this in my bones because my bookmark folder is basically a graveyard of links I swear I'll sort later and never do. Honestly the guestbook crawl sounds about right, but you can also try the Wayback Machine on old hobby sites and follow their link pages from like 2003. Half of them won't load, but the ones that do lead to more dead rings than you'd expect.
