Found a guy running a 1998 Geocities forum about vintage motorcycles
I stumbled on this forum last week where one guy named Dave still replies to old posts about fixing 1970s Honda CBs. He told me he's been the only active user since 2005 and keeps it up because 'someone has to keep the knowledge alive.' Has anyone else run into a one-person community like that?

Man I love finding stuff like this. It's like when you see those old fishing forums where one guy still updates the weather report every morning just in case someone comes back. Or that one YouTube channel run by a retired electrician who films himself fixing decades old appliances and gets maybe 50 views per video. These little one-person islands of knowledge are everywhere if you look. They're like the last person in a small town who still knows how to fix the old well pump or sharpen manual lawn mower blades. Dave and his motorcycle forum are part of something real. It's not about being popular, it's about keeping a door open for anyone who might wander in looking for help.

Wait, someone actually keeps updating a weather report on a dead fishing forum every morning? That's dedication I don't think I've ever seen before.
