Remember when you had to memorize a web address to get anywhere?
I was showing my niece how I used to type 'coolclicks.com' into a browser bar and hope it loaded, now she just yells 'hey siri' at her phone. Does anyone else miss the mystery of not knowing if a site would even work today?

lol that's a good point but honestly I wonder if the real loss is something else. Like yeah typing in addresses was a crapshoot, but remember the actual thrill of stumbling onto some random Geocities page that looked like a 5 year old designed it with neon text and a midi file playing in the background? My niece will never know the joy of accidentally finding a fansite for a show nobody remembers and just... exploring it for an hour. Do you think the magic of the internet died when everything got polished into the same boring app format, or was it already gone by then?
