That 2005 flash game site that still runs, but my saved progress vanished

Logged in from a coffee shop in Portland last Tuesday and my 19 year old account loaded fine, but every high score and level save was gone, just wiped clean after a server migration back in 2017. Has anyone else lost progress on an old arcade archive like this, and did you find a way to get it back or just start over?

My old save on that Penguin Diner site from 2006 had a similar ghost moment, except it came back three years later out of nowhere after I'd already rebuilt my whole tip record. So I know that weird mix of relief and annoyance, like the data just took a vacation to the Bahamas and forgot to send a postcard. Funny thing is, during the year I thought it was gone, I got so good at the game that my new scores were way better than the originals anyway. Then the old file shows up and I've got two versions of the same glory, which feels less like winning and more like having two identical trophies from a garage sale. Still, I back up every browser cookie and Flash cache to a USB stick now, call it my digital museum of dork history. You might try checking if the site kept a snapshot on the Wayback Machine, but fair warning, half those links just load a sad little error page.
