The old text-only browser version of my local library still outdoes the new site
Everyone raves about the modern catalog, but the 2003-era Lynx version at library.plainville.org loads in 2 seconds on my laptop. I tried the fancy search with filters and got nothing, then typed the same title into the plain HTML box and it pulled up 14 copies across 3 branches. The trick is using the exact Dewey number after the colon, like 641.5 for cookbooks. Anyone else prefer stripped down legacy interfaces over the polished ones?
