Update: that guestbook on a 1998 fan page for a defunct diner in Ohio got its first new entry in 9 years
I found this old Angelfire page about a diner in Lima, Ohio that closed back in 2003, and the whole site is just a menu, a blurry photo of the sign, and a guestbook. When I first clicked it about 14 months ago, the newest entry was from 2015, some guy named "DinerDave72" saying he missed the pie. I checked back out of boredom last Friday and there were 3 new posts, all from people who either ate there as kids or worked the grill. Then I noticed the last one was dated 3 days before I looked, which means somebody out there is still finding this page somehow. The weird part is nothing on the site has changed since like 2004, no updates, no owner, just this little time capsule that people keep stumbling into. Has anyone else watched a dead guestbook suddenly wake back up? Curious if that's a fluke or if old pages are getting a second life somehow.
