Watched a similar thing happen with the old Flash games on Miniclip and Newgrounds. They just slowly stopped loading one day and nobody even noticed until someone tried to show a kid what they grew up with. Same deal with old websites that used to be huge, like the dancing baby or those terrible MIDI files that played on every homepage. Everything online has a shelf life, and the stuff we thought was permanent just quietly dies when nobody's looking. Kind of sad when you think about it, all those little time capsules blinking out one by one.
