Bought a $300 color training kit and it was basically a scam

I finally got sick of doing the same 3 colors on clients and thought I'd invest in some advanced color theory training. Found this kit online from a popular influencer, paid $300 for it, and it came with a tiny booklet and 5 mini tubes of dye I could've gotten at Sally's for like $20 total. The videos they promised were just 20 minute blurry clips from a phone, no real technique breakdowns. I wasted a whole Saturday trying to follow along and my test swatch came out patchy as hell. The only thing I learned is that my own 2 years of salon experience taught me more than their 'curriculum'. Anyone else gotten burned by overpriced online training courses? What actually helped you level up your color game for less?
