Fell for that expensive ionic hairbrush hype and it did nothing for my frizz

Wasted $45 on that fancy brush from a boutique in Denver and my hair looked exactly the same, anyone else get tricked by gimmicky tools?

Just bought a boar bristle brush from a drugstore for like $8 and it actually calms my hair down way more than that overpriced ionic thing ever did. The key was running it through damp hair with a little argon oil, not expecting magic from just the brush itself. Took me three different brushes to figure out cheap and simple works best for my texture. Sometimes the marketing just gets you, but now I test things on one strand before committing.
