Gloss vs matte finish on extensions, I finally picked a side

After three weeks of flip flopping, I went with matte on a set of tape ins for a bride in Austin. The gloss looked richer in the mirror but washed out in her outdoor photos, so my call saved the day. Anyone else base finish decisions on photo lighting instead of the salon chair?
