I just read that some Victorian hair tonics had actual lead in them

Found this in an old book about beauty history at the library. They called it 'sugar of lead' and it was supposed to make hair shiny. Anyone know other crazy old ingredients they used to put in stuff?

Radium face cream sounds like a bad joke. People probably just got a nice glow and called it a day.
