My curling iron blew a fuse in the middle of a wedding party last Saturday. Had to finish three updos with a flat iron and a prayer.

Did you at least have a good flat iron on hand? My friend's hair dryer died right before her own sister's wedding, and she had to use a hotel wall dryer that had two settings: lukewarm and scorched earth. She ended up with this weird, half-dried wave situation and just pinned it all up in a messy bun. It actually looked pretty good in the end, but the panic sweat was real.

Oh man, that's the worst kind of timing! I swear, beauty tools always pick the most important day to quit. You must have some serious skills to pull that off with just a flat iron.
