My salon's new booking app keeps overbooking and it's a total mess

I'm so fed up with this fancy booking system we switched to last month... it glitched out and booked three clients for the same color appointment slot on Tuesday. I had to turn two away, and you can imagine how that went over. It's supposed to sync with our calendars, but half the time, it doesn't update until hours later. Now I'm paranoid and checking the app every five minutes, which just eats into my time with clients. Management says it'll 'improve efficiency,' but so far, it's only caused headaches and lost tips. I swear, the old clipboard with pencil marks was way more reliable. How are other shops dealing with this kind of tech trouble without losing their minds?

Tech troubles are frustrating, but that old clipboard could be a mess too. Smudged pencil marks and missed appointments happened all the time. These new systems sometimes just need a few updates to run smoothly.

Honestly, @emerys51, I see it differently. Those old clipboards might have smudges, but they always worked. No software crashes or login problems. I remember at my old job, the digital system erased a whole day of appointments. Paper just feels more solid, even with its flaws. Updates can fix some things, but they also break others.

Lost tips" sounds rough, but is a glitchy app really worse than losing whole appointments to a smudged clipboard?
