Question about the trend of carving brows into thin lines

I keep seeing clients come in with those super thin, over-plucked brows from that one viral video and I honestly don't get it. Last Tuesday a girl showed me a photo of a 2016 Instagram brow and asked for that exact shape, even after I warned her it would take months to grow back if she hated it. She said she wanted to look 'edgy' but now she's booked for a correction next week because the lines just don't frame her face. I've been doing brows for 11 years and I've watched this cycle repeat, thick to thin to thick again, and every time people end up with regret. Why are we chasing a look that literally goes against bone structure and natural growth patterns? Has anyone else had to talk a client out of a brow shape that just won't work with their features?
