Tried Olaplex vs K18 back to back on the same client last week

Honestly I was skeptical about the K18 hype but I did a side by side on a client who had heavy bleach damage on her ends. I used Olaplex on one side and K18 on the other after the same lightening session. The K18 side felt smoother and had less breakage when I combed through it. The Olaplex side still needed a ton of leave in conditioner to feel decent. I spent about 45 minutes on each side timing everything. Has anyone else tried comparing them like this or is it just me?

I read somewhere that K18 works differently because it actually rebuilds the peptide chains instead of just adding bonds like Olaplex does. Your test makes sense with what I've heard about K18 being better for severely overprocessed hair, especially on those crunchy bleach ends. Did you notice any difference in how long the results lasted on each side?
