Do you stick with the older friction cranes or go all in on the newer hydraulic models?

I had to decide between keeping my 1985 P&H 9125 or trading up to a newer Liebherr LTM 1050. The old friction crane was reliable but slow on the swing, and the new one is faster but I miss the feel. Which way did you go and did you regret it?

Miss the feel" hits home. Old friction cranes have soul. Kept mine.

See it different though... those old friction cranes had a rough feel that could mess with your lines if you weren't careful. Kept one for years but finally swapped to a smoother setup. Don't miss the snap it had sometimes.
