Heard a site foreman say "slow feet = fast loads" last night and it finally clicked why I keep taking too long with my picks
I always thought rushing the moves would save time, but that guy explained how my hurry was making me reset the hook twice on each lift, so now I'm gonna try taking an extra 10 seconds to walk the path first, anyone else had this backwards realization?

Honestly rushing it built my instincts way faster than walking slow ever did. You learn to fix mistakes on the fly that way instead of avoiding them.

Think about it this way though: rushing builds speed but also builds bad habits if you aren't careful with your fundamentals. You can get away with a lot of sloppy form when you're moving fast, and that stuff sticks around long after you think you've "learned" the move. Slow reps let you lock in the muscle memory before you add the pace, which is honestly where most injuries happen.
