Looked down on locking out the swing brake during hook changes until the grain elevator job in Duluth
I used to think it was overkill for a quick hook swap, but a gust came off the lake at about 30 mph last Tuesday and the boom started drifting while my hand was still in the block. Now the brake goes on before my feet leave the cab, every single time. Anybody else got a close call that finally made a habit stick?
