Old hydraulic hose let go on me yesterday while I was lifting a 12 ton AC unit downtown

Had to set the load down fast and swap it out with a spare I keep in the truck, took 45 minutes and the whole job site was watching me, has anyone else had a hose blow at the worst possible time?

Yeah, had a hose let go on me once while I was lifting a 24 ton rooftop unit... that moment when everything goes quiet and you realize every single guy on site is staring at you. I always keep two spare hoses in different lengths now, plus a set of quick couplers. Saved my butt more times than I can count.

Disagree a little with you @linda_mason82. Keeping extras is smart but it can get costly fast if you're not careful. I'd rather stick with quality hoses from the start than carry a bunch of backups just in case.
