That site foreman who refused to let me rig my own hook, what would you have done?
Back in 2019 on a job in Columbus, I had a structural steel pick with a 50 ton Grove and this old foreman, about 60, walks up and says 'no way you're doing the choker knot, I've seen your type screw it up.' He then re-rigged my setup from scratch, which took an extra 20 minutes and made us miss the window before lunch. Part of me thinks he was just being a safety stickler and part of me thinks he was on a power trip because he never even checked my cert or my load chart math. I let it slide since the lift went fine, but I've been chewing on it since. Has anyone else had a site lead override your rigging and do you push back or let them have their way?

That foreman saved your ass twice over, 20 minutes is cheap.
