The crane pad situation at the new downtown site is night and day from last month
They finally brought in the proper 6x6 timber mats after we were sinking into mud on just plywood sheets for weeks. Anyone else have a site super who finally listens after you show them a photo of a 2-inch lean?

Our super in Toledo only moved on crane mats after we hit a 3-degree list. Sometimes you just need that hard number in front of them to get the right gear on site. Pictures of the tilt finally got us proper 8x12s last Tuesday.

Man, that's the truth. I had a job where we kept saying the ground felt soft but they didn't listen. We finally stuck a level on the rig's deck and sent a photo showing 4 degrees. Got mats delivered that same afternoon. It's crazy how a simple picture with a number on it cuts through all the talk.
