Just realized I was overpaying for used tools on Craigslist for years

I kept buying old table saws and routers from guys asking $200-$300, thinking I was getting a deal. Last month I found a post for a Delta saw listed at $150 that sat for 2 weeks. I offered $80 cash and the guy took it same day. Turns out folks just want stuff out of their garage. Anyone else been lowballing and actually getting stuff cheaper than listed?

Saw a YouTube video where a guy breaks this down. He said most people pricing stuff on Craigslist just look at what others are asking and add a little. But they don't actually check what stuff sells for. So they sit on it forever. The trick is to wait til it's been up like a week or two then hit them with a low offer. I tried it on a drill press last month listed at $200, offered $100, guy took it in like an hour.
